Gravel Driveway Construction. JNB builds a better gravel driveway…literally from the ground up.  First, we grade the area and surrounding soil by crowning and reshaping to provide a proper road or pad profile. Then we correct any drainage issues with culvert pipes and/or swales. After compacting the subbase, we install flex base gravel (road base) and once again compact the new gravel for durability.

Gravel Driveway Repair - More than just spreading a little rock. Gravel, like all natural products, requires maintenance over time, but the "old  school" methods of repair simply don't work. Dumping rock in potholes, dragging a box blade back and forth, or spreading new gravel over the old does nothing to correct the underlying problems that caused those potholes in the first place. These methods only give the appearance of a nice new driveway, and as the saying goes ... "Appearances can be deceiving." In  reality, the same pot holes and problem areas soon return and become a problem once again.

There IS a better way.

If you're tired of paying to have gravel dumped and spread year after year, just to have those annoying potholes return and your expensive gravel seemingly disappear...you need to give JNB a call. We don't just spread gravel.

Instead, we remix the existing material - then grade, reshape and  re-crown for improved drainage away from the driveway. This process also  repairs potholes from the bottom up. That's the only way to ensure that they don't return. We can also  improve drainage in areas surrounding the gravel area. Proper drainage is  key to a long lasting gravel surface.

Once we've re-graded and any drainage have been repaired, we compact and install a layer of new road base, flex base and/or a topping of crushed limestone or pea gravel.  Finally, we compact once again for durability. 

JNB repairs and restores quite a few gravel driveways without adding any additional gravel. If we determine that there is enough clean existing gravel present, we can regrade the area and repair any potholes without bringing in more material. Done yearly, this is an excellent gravel driveway maintenance method to help keep the surface in tip-top shape at minimal cost.
